Teens Corner

BIFIF believes Africa's next great filmmakers are teenagers right now. Teens Corner is a dedicated programme for young creatives aged 10–18 — a space to learn, create, and be inspired.

Dedicated sessions, workshops, and screenings just for young people — running throughout the festival.

Young Filmmakers Lab

Ages 13–18

A hands-on filmmaking workshop where teens write, shoot, and edit their own short films during the festival.

Story Workshop

Ages 10–15

A creative writing and visual storytelling session exploring African narratives and the power of your own story.

Teens Film Showcase

All ages

A special screening block dedicated entirely to films made by young African filmmakers under 18.

An intimate session where teenagers get to ask their favourite filmmakers anything they want to know.

All Teens Corner activities are free with a registered General Pass. Parents or guardians must register with their child.
