Did you know that part of the movie Phone Swap was filmed in Badagry?
Now, here’s the exciting news! From August 17th to 19th, 2023, there’s going to be a really cool event happening in Badagry. It’s called the Badagry International Film Festival, and you’ll get to meet some famous actors and learn about why they chose to film part of Phone Swap in Badagry.
It’s a Nigerian romance comedy-drama film that was directed and produced by Kunle Afolayan. The movie stars some famous actors like Nse Ikpe Etim, Wale Ojo, Joke Silva, Chika Okpala, Lydia Forson, and Afeez Oyetoro.
The story is about Mary, a fashion designer who works for a strict boss, and Akin, a bossy business executive. They accidentally swap their phones at the airport, which leads to them having to help each other out. The movie was made in partnership with Globacom and BlackBerry and got support from other companies too.
This festival is a great opportunity to explore Badagry and learn about its history. You’ll get to celebrate the town’s heritage and cinema. So mark your calendars and get ready for an awesome time!
